About this work

Cool grays and soft blues create a hushed atmosphere, while flashes of yellow cut through the surface like moments of urgency or hope. Bold black forms and layered, sweeping marks draw the eye across the canvas, giving the composition a restless energy. *Girl Who Can’t Run Away* holds a feeling of being trapped between choices, yet leaves room for each viewer to find their own meaning in the image.
